Ayaka Arashiro arrives at Medina Studios apartments and sees two men chatting in the hallway. Justin Thorne and Samir Aswad introduce themselves and confirm they’re both here to move into the same vacant three bedroom apartment that Ayaka is also joining.
After moving in, the new housemates of 930 Medina Studios take a moment to admire their new apartment. Samir can tell that it has been recently redecorated, Ayaka loves the open layout and Justin really likes the modern furnishings and decor.
Justin is lucky and gets the largest bedroom in the apartment. It’s the perfect size to accommodate all of his home gym equipment. With a good daily workout routine, he’s sure to achieve his goal of reaching maximum body potential.
The neighbours arrive to welcome the housemates to the Arts Quarter. Genji Fujita and Salim Benali live in the other apartments on their floor, while Khaled Assaoui lives in Hakim House on the other side of the district. Khaled brings along a fruitcake as a welcome gift.
The Arts Quarter is the home of the Humour and Hijinks Festival, and Samir checks it out with Salim Benali. Salim mentions the fireworks display at the end of the night, which is definitely an impressive sight to behold.
Ayaka hears that the Romance Festival is in town, and travels there with Salim Benali. While Salim reviews some of the festival-goers’ paintings for his critic column, Ayaka checks a guide book to learn more about the festival and the Fashion District. It’s a beautiful part of the city.
Samir and Ayaka travel out of the city for a meal at Chez Llama with their neighbours, Salim Benali and Gaiden Fujita. While Samir and Salim discuss the exotic taste and texture of their meals, Ayaka flirts with Gaiden, who seems to be interested in her.
In the mood for a drink, Samir visits Patchy’s bar in Newcrest. He meets an attractive girl and offers to buy her a beverage. Martha Noonan accepts, although she offers to get him one in return, as she gets a discount on Tuesday nights. Maybe it’s ladies’ night or something?
Things get pretty flirtatious between Ayaka and Genji Fujita one evening while he’s hanging out with her. Ayaka wonders if she should mention that she already hooked up with his cousin Gaiden recently? She decides against saying anything and to just enjoy Genji’s hotness.
Justin gets an invitation to breakfast at Sunny Side Up Diner from co-worker Babs L’Amour. She’s one of the high profile athletes at the sports team he’s working at as a waterperson. Justin wonders if she treats all new colleagues to breakfast dates, or maybe she’s interested in him?
