Daichi spends the afternoon catching up at the cafe in Windenburg with an old friend. Geeta Rasoya still works as a receptionist at the Police Station, and relays all the latest gossip back to Daichi. Geeta blushes when Daichi compliments her appearance.
Daichi Ishikawa chats with two of his former police colleagues, who have come visiting their old chief. Karim Al Habib and Tenzin Gyatso tell stories about the rookie officers and reassure Daichi that the latest crime figures are at an all-time low.
Dressed in full police uniform, Akito Ishikawa presents himself to his Uncle Daichi for inspection. Akito took the plunge and joined the Police Force. Being the former chief, Daichi couldn’t be more proud of his nephew for answering the call to protect and serve the community.
After having left his previous job as a professional DJ headliner, Akito isn’t sure what to pursue as a career. His Uncle Daichi suggests joining the police force. Before he retired, Daichi was the Chief of Police, so he’d love it if Akito followed family tradition. Akito says he’ll think about it.
While having breakfast, Akito Ishikawa looks over to the coffee maker where his mother Mako and Uncle Daichi are chatting. Akito wonders how well they’re adjusting to being retired, after so many years working for the police force.
Police Chief Daichi Ishikawa is retiring, and Tenzin spots him wandering the station and taking in the memories. Chief Ishikawa says he remembers when Tenzin was just a rookie cadet, and is proud of the fine officer standing before him now. That means a lot to Tenzin.
